SUMMARY:IBC Bioeconomy Activator: Exploring the Next Frontier of Beauty and Functional Food Industries (Part 1)
DESCRIPTION:To kick off IBC’s Bioeconomy Activator Program\, a series of three Focus Group Discussions will be convened throughout May\, bringing together IBC member companies and business representatives to explore market trends and value chain gaps in the beauty and functional food sectors. \nThe sessions will aim to capture current consumer trends in beauty and functional food\, identify Indonesia’s native ingredients with commercial potential\, assess the availability of science-backed data\, and discuss regulatory challenges during the product development phase. Together\, the series will offer a grounded view of where key opportunities and gaps lie across the value chain. \nBy convening diverse voices from within and beyond the IBC network\, the FGDs will help build a sharper\, evidence-based understanding of opportunities in R&D and product development. The insights gathered will serve as a foundation for stronger industry development\, investment\, and policy dialogue. \nFollowing the FGDs\, Indonesia’s leading researchers and universities in the field of bioprospecting will be onboarded to carry out dedicated bioprospecting studies.
