These fundamentals include regulatory clarity\, a transparent and accountable registry system\, strong market integrity\, a supply of high-quality carbon projects\, continuously growing market demand\, and enhanced capacity of stakeholders across the carbon market ecosystem. \nIndonesia Carbon Market Academy (ICMA) is one of the Indonesian Business Council’s (IBC) flagship programs. It is a capability building program for prime movers in Indonesia’s carbon market ecosystem which targets private sector as carbon credit suppliers and/or buyers\, central and local governments who are shaping the Country’s carbon market. Through a well-designed practical series of training courses\, ICMA addresses current global and national policy\, market dynamics\, integrating carbon business as well as special assistance for IBC members who wish to develop high quality and high integrity carbon project(s). \nICMA 2 consists of 2 (two) series of training courses led by the industry’s leading experts. SUMMARY:Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC) Advocacy Group Roundtable 2024
DESCRIPTION:Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC) Ministerial Meeting Co-located Events is a high-level forum whereby AZEC Advocacy Group provided and concluded a Joint Recommendation statement. This statement highlighted private sector perspectives on advancing carbon neutrality within the AZEC framework. Joined by high-calibre leaders in the region\, the forum stresses the need for robust policy and institutional coordination\, a credible carbon market\, and fostering green product markets. Priorities in this forum include expanded financing\, linking dialogues to projects\, incorporating transition technologies\, and supporting decarbonisation across key sectors. The statement also calls for harmonising policies and broadening AZEC’s reach with effective implementation and progress tracking. The immediate follow-up of this Ministerial Meeting is conducted on the following day\, the 21st of August 2024. Jakarta\, as the host of meetings on both days\, became the hotspot of advancement of zero emissions progress in the region.
