The Indonesian Business Council (IBC), as an association of business and industry players, represented by the COO of the Indonesian Business Council (IBC), William Sabandar, continues to promote national competitiveness and the economy.
In an effort to support the goal of Golden Indonesia 2045 and the Net Zero Emission 2060 program, IBC also continues to push for the development of the carbon market. The carbon market initiative is crucial for opening access to global carbon financing to accelerate efforts in reducing national carbon emissions.
IBC believes that the Carbon Market plays an important role in boosting Indonesia’s growth towards 8% and achieving Net Zero Emission 2060 through access to green sector funding and the development of the carbon market in Indonesia. However, the development of Indonesia’s carbon market faces several challenges, namely infrastructure challenges and systemic challenges.
